It's been about 2 weeks since I launched the new website, so I guess it's not new any more. Although it was probably about 2 years since I updated the old one, so relatively speaking...
I've decided to stick with Drupal. I really like it. It's intuitive, easy to use, and it makes updating my site a breeze.
So why Drupal? Or any CMS for that matter?
I wanted to build a site that would be quick and easy to update. Adding and maintaining HTML pages is a pain - which is why my old site lay neglected for so long. Using a CMS makes updates a snap!
I started out with Joomla, but I just couldn't get to grips with the menu system. For me, Drupal was more intuitive, and it also allows one server to host multiple sites from a single core codebase. It's not something that I need right now, but I'm keeping one eye on the future...
