This is kind of an update to an earlier post with a similar name.
It appears that facebook has put a stop on RSS status feeds. They've always made it as awkward and difficult as possible, but now it looks like they have stopped it altogether. My status feed hasn't been updated since mid-march.
So, unless I can find another way to do it, it's bye-bye facebook...
You may have noticed that this site now displays my current Facebook Status.
I'm not a huge fan of social networking sites, but they do have their uses. I have an account on Twitter and Facebook and I'm too lazy to update multiple sites so I've set up Facebook to read my tweets, and added a Facebook Status module to this site. Now all I have to do is update Twitter and my message will appear in all three places. Pretty cool, huh?
It's been about 2 weeks since I launched the new website, so I guess it's not new any more. Although it was probably about 2 years since I updated the old one, so relatively speaking...
I've decided to stick with Drupal. I really like it. It's intuitive, easy to use, and it makes updating my site a breeze.
So why Drupal? Or any CMS for that matter?
I wanted to build a site that would be quick and easy to update. Adding and maintaining HTML pages is a pain - which is why my old site lay neglected for so long. Using a CMS makes updates a snap!
